![]() Features: Understanding Verizon’s Fleet Management Offerings With this level of oversight, fleet management transforms from a challenge into a mastered skill. It’s like watching a live chess match where you can see every piece (or in this case, vehicle) making its moves, providing the insight needed to make strategic, timely decisions. Instead, they’re plugged into a dynamic, live feed. No longer are fleet managers working with old data. The real gem, however, is the real-time tracking feature. This clear, visual setup lets managers instantly understand what’s happening with their fleet. What stands out is its intuitive traffic-light color-coding system, giving managers an immediate grasp of vehicle statuses – green for active, yellow for idle, and red for halted. Verizon’s platform doesn’t disappoint, with its live map interface leading the charge. The real power of any fleet management system is how easy it is to use. Usability and Interface: Making Fleet Management Simpler With these dashcams, fleet managers can see exactly what’s happening out there, helping them make sure everyone’s on track and safe. They’re tools for safety, ensuring accountability, and having proof if something goes wrong. These cameras aren’t just for recording what happens on the road. They’ve also added dashcams to their offerings. ![]() Both do the job but in their own unique ways.īut Verizon didn’t stop there. It’s like choosing between a built-in hard drive and a portable USB. They give businesses two great options: hardwired devices for those who need something more permanent and plug-and-play devices for those who want something easy to set up and move around. The Hardware Aspect: Flexibility at Its Coreįleet tracking is always changing, and having the right hardware tools is critical. It’s these tailored features that truly set Verizon Connect GPS fleet tracking system apart. This provides an added layer of customization, especially when you factor in the ability to overlay Geographic Information System (GIS) data.įor instance, imagine being a distributor and being able to overlay your delivery routes with power lines, ensuring that your tall vehicles won’t bump into anything they shouldn’t. Unlike many competitors who rely on generic solutions like Google Maps, Verizon uses its own mapping software. This fosters a more intimate understanding of a company’s needs and guarantees faster, more efficient support.Īnother interesting thing about Verizon is its proprietary mapping system. This means that instead of speaking to a new representative every time there’s a query, businesses have a single point of contact familiar with their operations and challenges. Whether you’re in distribution, utilities, or construction, Verizon ensures that its system speaks directly to your pain points and requirements.Ī key differentiator is the presence of a dedicated account manager for clients. Rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all approach, Verizon offers tailored solutions that cater to the unique needs of each sector. One of its most remarkable features is its customizability, particularly for industry-specific clients. When you look at all the fleet management options out there, Verizon Connect GPS Fleet Management distinguishes itself in several compelling ways. Why Verizon Connect GPS Fleet Management Stands Out It’s this blend of experience, innovation, and dedication that has given rise to Verizon fleet tracking services today. Each of these companies brought unique innovations to the table, and under the Verizon umbrella, they have ushered in a new era of fleet management. This merger didn’t just enhance Verizon’s portfolio it combined the strengths of three industry leaders, leading to a powerhouse of Verizon fleet tracking solutions. One monumental step was the merger of three major entities: Telogis, Verizon Networkfleet, and Fleetmatics. The company recognized early on the growing need for sophisticated fleet management tools and made strategic moves to establish its dominance. Verizon’s journey into fleet tracking wasn’t an overnight endeavor. The Evolution of Fleet Tracking with Verizon With its commitment to offering top-tier solutions, Verizon has positioned itself as a key player in the fleet management industry. ![]() As companies strive to streamline operations and maximize efficiency, a reliable fleet management system becomes crucial.Īt the forefront of this revolution stands a telecom giant, not just known for its cellular service but also its advancements in fleet technology: Verizon. If you’re a Backbone+ subscriber, you’ll get a 20% discount on the carrying case if you order through the Backbone app. The carrying case costs $24.99 and is also available to order starting today. The carrying case will be available in black as well as a Playstation-branded white version. It also is releasing its first carrying case for the Backbone One controller. The company also announced a refresh to the iOS and Android app, which it describes as a new “look and feel of the Backbone app for a rich and interactive experience when discovering games across all kinds of gaming: Remote Play, Cloud Gaming, and App Store.” /rebates/&252fconsoles-hardware252fxbox-series-x25257Cs252fgaming-accessories252fcontrollers252fproducts252fbackbone-one-mobile-gaming-controller252f20008825.html26tc3dbing-&idgamestop&namegamestop&ra5. The 2nd generation of the Backbone One is available now and Backbone+ can get $30 off if they claim a discount through the Backbone app through November 17th. The magnetic adapters also look much more elegant than the 3D-printed ones that the company offered to users over the last couple of years. It’s such a vital part of tons of games, and hardcore gamers hate a bad D-pad, so I’m glad the company improved that part of the controller. Personally, I’m a sucker for a good D-pad. When combined with the Backbone app–which puts all of gaming in one place–it’s our most accessible gaming experience ever. Magnetic adapters allow for even better phone fit and a reshaped D-pad enhances responsiveness, resulting in superior feel and control across multiple genres of gameplay–all while still maintaining the form factor and ergonomics that players know and love. These new controllers continue our commitment to impeccable design and further our position as the leader in mobile and cloud gaming devices. Inspired by the look and feel of the PS DualSense wireless controller, the Backbone One gives users tactile controls to enhance their gaming experience on iPhone and Android. The new version, which is available today, includes an upgraded D-pad and magnetic adapters for “even better phone fit.” What that really means is that the new version can finally fit a phone with a case still on it - fixing one of the biggest complaints about the first generation. In a blog post, Backbone announced a number of updates for the holidays, including an actual hardware update to the Backbone One controller. So, while the design changed, the features of the controller remained the same. The company also notes, however, the Backbone One can be used to play a wide variety of iOS games designed with controller support. Today, investigators analyze DNA at a standardized set of more than 20 STRs. RFLP analysis has mostly been replaced by modern methods that are more precise and more sensitive–they can be done with very little DNA input. For identifying a suspect from their DNA at a crime scene, you would expect a perfect match for all the bands for a test like paternity, you would expect that at least half of the bands match between a parent and a child. Because VNTRs are so variable, the chance that two people’s banding patterns on a gel like this will match identically is extremely low. In this approach, the investigator will use several different probes, simultaneously testing several different VNTRs, and so each lane that ran on the gel will contain many visible bands, typically two (one from each chromosome) for every VNTR tested. The probes are labeled, usually with a radioactive element, allowing the investigator to create an image of where on the membrane the probes bind. These probes are DNA sequences that match specific VNTRs and will bind to the repeats that have the same sequence. The investigator then washes the membrane with DNA probes. Using a process known as southern blotting, the DNA that had been separated by size is then transferred and bound to a nylon membrane. They then take these DNA fragments and run them on a polyacrylamide gel, which separates all of the DNA fragments by size. In this procedure, an investigator takes a DNA sample isolated directly from blood or other tissue and cuts all the DNA in the sample into small pieces using an enzyme known as a restriction enzyme. The classic image of a DNA fingerprint comes from looking at VNTRs in a process known as restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis. ![]() In an STR or VNTR, the repeated sequence may occur just a few or even hundreds of times, depending on the specific locus and the individual. Repeats made of longer core sequences are referred to as variable nucleotide tandem repeats or VNTRs (also called minisatellites). When the length of the individual repeated sequence is short, usually less than 6 base pairs, these segments are called short tandem repeats or STRs (also called microsatellites). Many places in your DNA, there are regions where the same core sequence of DNA nucleotides is repeated several times over and over again, but the exact number of times the sequence is repeated can vary between individuals. The variable regions most often used in DNA fingerprinting are specific DNA segments that contain repeated strings of nucleobases. For example, can you tell which suspect (1,2,3 or 4) matches sample from the crime scene? To find a match, whether it be for a paternity test or to solve a crime, an investigator simply looks for matching patterns. The most classic protocol to visualize these differences gives the distinctive banding pattern that you have probably seen in crime TV shows and that is illustrated here. Many of these differences are in regions of DNA that contain repeated sequences known as microsatellites. To identify differences in people, researchers look at regions of DNA that are known to vary from person to person. Researchers first came up with a way to do this in the mid-1980s, and more efficient and precise methods have been developed since. To use DNA as an identification tool, researchers must first obtain quality DNA samples, know where in the DNA to look for identifying differences, and create an efficient, consistent way of looking. But of course, obtaining a DNA fingerprint is a far different process than getting someone’s actual fingerprints. DNA fingerprinting is a method for finding unique patterns in a person’s DNA and using those patterns to identify people, similar to how your unique fingerprint patterns can identify you. ![]() Like your fingerprints, your DNA is unique to you, doesn’t change throughout your lifetime, and whether you intend it or not, is often left behind wherever you go. If all nearby systems have been visited, gas giants are converted into the adventure planets. The game then scans for star systems that have not been visited by the player yet to place the adventure planet. Adventure planets are chosen when the player requests a mission from an empire. The Hologram Scout will still be in the game for exploration of other normal planets. Player's flesh-and-blood captains can only beam down onto adventure planets.Players can either enter adventures by requesting a mission from another empire while in a Space Stage game and then flying to the planet and beaming down, or they can use an option called "quick play" that allows players to enter adventures directly from the main menu instead.Players can design absolutely any type of city they want in the creator, from ancient style stone castles to large metal complexes of the future, by piecing together all sorts of buildings. City make-up can be much more complex in the Adventure creator.By setting a hollow vehicle to stationary and with even more flexible game-play, a vehicle can stand in for a building, like a caravan. These are obsolete parts but you can still find the datasheets online. Inside the GCM there’s one main IC, an ST Microsystems L9524 glowplug controller and four ST P85NF55L MOSFETs that do the actual pulsing of the glowplug voltage. And you can imagine what fun it is to troubleshoot this at very cold temperatures. If I connected the glowplugs to the battery through some resistance wire to drop the voltage to 7V, the Jeep started without difficulty. That is, the glowplugs should be on 62% of the time, not the 38% I was seeing. 7 volts is about 62% of a 12V battery, so you should see a pulse duty cycle of about 62%. Far too little, you barely see it glow at all at the end of a few 14 second cycles with your hands cupped around it. The glowplugs show a 11.5Vp-p pulse at 31hz with a 38.6% duty cycle. And they should glow red brightly when you bench test them, something I didn’t know, though it seems obvious now. They’re either good or they’re not, like an incandescent light bulb. BTW, I must state that glowplugs or any heating element like them, say in a stove or hot water tank, do not get weak. I went through quite a lot of trouble to find this, but both vehicles use Bosch glowplug control modules (GCM) and while they weren’t the problem, the pulse-width modulated (PWM) signal from the engine control module was. He does not like being bested in single combat, as seen in " Hubris" (1x17). He was also the only chaotic-neutral group member at the start of the campaign, and he is often more aggressive and less merciful than some of the other characters. Grog has shown himself to be rather impulsive, as seen often when he charges ahead of the group into an unknown area of a dungeon or map. Since then, Pike has managed to teach Grog how to read words in Common that are up to five letters long. ![]() Now, this particular Dashcard is going to be added and I can move it around wherever I want. Would it be great if I had some maybe moldy bread or something like that to show us that something is stale? Hey, I like that a lot. So in this case, I'm going to type in the word stale. And I can even add the background if I want to change it to a specific color, or I can search for some specific photos. I can include just some specific boards if I want, I can include specific labels or assignees and start to layer out this Dashcard. And you can just see how granular we can get. 26, there are 26 cards amongst all of my boards, which have not been changed in the last 10 days. ![]() So I could say, is there anything this week, this month? What if I want to be even more specific? I'm going to say last modified later than let's say maybe 10 days ago, and immediately it's going to update that Dashcard here as well. I'm going to say last modified, and then I get to choose the timeframe. I'm going to come down here and select more filters. I want to identify the cards that haven't been modified in a while. So for example, maybe I want to create a Dashcard which is called Stale. But you can not only customize any of the ones that you see here, you can also start from scratch and really apply any filter or criteria that you like. And here you can see the assigned to me and due this week, which I've already enabled. When we select that option, it will get us started with a number of different defaults, a number of different templates to get us started. Once the Dashcard Power-Up is installed, you will see a button at the top of your board called Track. And for example, if I need to add myself to a couple of new cards, in just a few seconds, you will see that this Dashcard on the left will update now to 14, because now there are two more cards in which I am assigned to. It's telling me that I have 12 cards that are assigned to me, not just on this board, but within all of the boards as a part of this workspace. ![]() The one down below is perhaps even more powerful because it's giving me information not just about this board, but about all of the boards on this workspace. So rather than having to scan all of my cards to see what is coming up soon, or having to use the filter option and then put in my specific requirements, this card can tell me right away. This first one here is telling me that I have three cards on this board that are due this week. These are actually dynamic cards called Dashcards and they're showing me some very valuable information. Now, no, I haven't just added a fancy cover graphic here. They had decided that delivering widespread with a pill or an aerosol wouldn't do, so Warren decided to use the Ebola Virus as a delivery system. ![]() While Clive and Warren were burying the criminal at dawn, Clive sneezed, giving Warren an idea. Warren then decided that they should test the inhibitor on chimpanzees, as Clive had been suggesting all along. The criminal broke free and attacked Clive and Warren, forcing Warren to kill him. However, the injections of the inhibitor were too diluted, so Warren increased the dosage. Warren was able to get a contact at a police station and secure a violent criminal to test the inhibitor on. At first, they experimented on volunteers from the university, but as Cambridge University students obviously didn't have uncontrollable rage, Warren decided it was a waste of time. Two Cambridge University scientists named Clive and Warren were hired by an unknown company to develop an anger inhibitor that could end domestic and urban rage worldwide. ![]() 28 Days Later also spawned a graphic novel called 28 Days Later: The Aftermath, which expanded on the origins of the Rage virus and the timeline of the outbreak and a 2009-2011 comic book series of the same name, which continued the story of, and expanded on the backstory of, one of the main characters of the first film.Īttention this wiki does not show what is canonical and what is not.Ģ8 days later and weeks later (considered the canonical)Ģ8 aftermath 28 days later 28 selena comics and weeks.
